Screenwriter/producer/author, Rodney Holland has written, produced, and assisted on a wide swath of entertainment projects. He has assistant directed shorts, directed specs, co-produced features, worked in casting, and in story editing (MTV/Vh1) where he wrote sizzle intros for a popular series. As a feature film producer, Rodney co-produced the festival favorite, Another Harvest Moon. As a screenwriter, Rodney has been hired by indie producers for punch ups and rewrites, and he has been offered multiple option deals on his thriller feature, Unto the Light. Rodney was nominated to adapt a popular novel to screenplay and he has ghostwritten e-books and articles for countless corporate clients all across America.

Currently, as a show creator and writer/producer, Rodney has two streaming series and two feature films in various stages of development: Southern Pines (drama series), The Academy (limited drama/thriller series), Unto the Light (thriller feature film), and Shut’em Down (action/drama feature film).

Before settling into writing and producing, Rodney got his start in the film & TV industry as an actor in NYC where he regularly performed in Off-Off-Broadway and Off-Broadway theatre before moving to LA to work in film, and network TV shows such as Bones (FOX), Homicide: Life on the Street (NBC), The Shield (FX), and others.

He is excited to be nearing completion on his debut work in the publishing world, a thrilling upmarket crime fiction novel that explores themes of coming-of-age, loss, and renewal, set in the mid-70s rural South. Rodney is a graduate of The College of Design at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC.
